Climate ActionFirst day of International WEBinar on EarthDay 2020
During three sessions, issues such as, Effects of Climatic Changes and Global Warming, Covid19 Pandemic and Water Crisis, Climate Change and School Education, nature conservation policies and their impact on the economy and livelihoods and etc, were discussed.
Organiser
The webinar was chaired by Dr. Asghar Mohammadi Fazel, president of the ECO Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ECO-IEST) and attended by world’s renowned scientists and environmentalist and also representatives from the UNEP and ECO secretariat at the beginning of the event.
Day1:
In the first session the webinar commenced by Mr. Balakrishna Pisupati Chairperson FLEDGE from Dehli, India, on general aspect of the Earth “Can Earth Day be everyday ?”, then Prof. Manzoor Hussain Soomro, President ECO Science Foundation from Islamabad, Pakistan addressed on “Climate Change and School Education“, the next issue discussed by Prof. Senka Barudanovic from University of Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina was about “Covid19 Pandemic and Water Crisis”, the last speaker on the first day was Prof. Eligio Malusa from Research Institute of Horticulture Skierniewice from Poland who addressed “Climate change and Crops protection” .
Day 2:
The first speaker on the second day of the webinar was Mr. Alfred Oteng-Yeboah from University of Ghana Legon, Ghana and he talked about “Nature Conservation Policies”, the topic of “Biodiversity and Climate Change” was discussed by Mr. Spencer Thomas, Consultant St. George, Grenada. Prof. Özer ÇINAR, Yildiz Technical University from Istanbul, Turkey discussed “Climate Change Impact on Environment”, the last speaker on the second day was Ms. Ellie Soly Senior Scientist AECOM Melbourne, Australia who had a presentation on “Sustainability and Carbon Reduction Management”.
Day 3:
On the third day, webinar began by Prof. Ram Boojh, CEO Mobius Foundation from New Delhi, India and he discussed “Covid19 and Sustainability Education“, the very important issue of “Climate Change and Connectivity Conservation” presented by Dr. Marcelo Gonçalves de Lima Research Fellow- Center for Large Landscape Conservation Cambridge from UK, the last speaker on the third day was Ms. Judith Fisher Biodiversity Business Advisor Fisher Research Pty Perth from Australia and she delivered her presentation on “Biodiversity and Climate Inter –ACTIONS”. There were also a Q&A part at the end of each session.

And also from ECO Secretariat. Mr. Rovshan Mirzayev Director for Energy, Minerals and Environment (EME) and from UNEP Maria Socorro Manguiat, Senior Legal Officer Head, National Environmental Law Unit Law Division, United Nations Environment Programme, participated in this webinar.
